Jordan Nicholas Burton, a decorated poet and writer who truly has a passion for writing. He sees writing as a true art form. He built House of Burton because he knows what it takes to get a book made and made well. He believes writers shouldn't have to figure it out alone.
He edits the way he writes: honest, direct, no softening of things that need to be hard. The author's voice is the only voice that matters. His job is to make it louder.

The House of Burton mark means the book earned it. Not every manuscript gets here. The ones that do are excellent stories — deeply vetted, curated, and polished — and still unmistakably themselves when they come out the other side.
Raw where they need to be raw. Human where they need to be human. We don't sand that down. We protect it.
The standard is simple. The work is hard. That's the point.
